Jacks Fork
Streambank Restoration
The main objective of this mitigation project was to restore and preserve functional stream habitats within the Current River watershed. The proposed activities provide enhanced water quality and wildlife habitat in the region by restoring, protecting, and/or preserve approximately 14 acres of forested riparian buffer and 3,025 linear feet of perennial stream channel.
This project benefits habitat types that have historically been a part of the Current River watershed but are increasingly threatened by recreational development.
